Energy class A: the new standard for new builds
How to spot real class A — insulation, windows, heating — and why these flats hold value 30% better on resale.

A class-A energy certificate is not a marketing gimmick; it is a serious difference in monthly costs and value retention. In our analysis of 142 Skopje transactions in 2025, class-A units resold on average 12 months faster than class-C, with an average price premium of +7.4%. The defining specs: triple-glazed joinery (Uw < 0.9), thermal insulation of at least 14 cm EPS or equivalent, controlled ventilation with heat recovery, and a heat pump as the primary heating source.
